My name is Dario Pieber and I am the Swiss Latte Art Champion 2023 & 2024.
For the most part I work in coffee. I’ve done so since 2018, and have since started my own company and worked in the coffee scene as a barista, roaster and coffee trainer.
Since April 2023 I joined Rent a Barista in Zurich as the co CEO. Together with Ernst Kneubühler, we have three coffee shops in Zurich, we do a lot of events, we offer classes and soon will have our own coffee roastery.
But what I enjoy most, is pouring and creating Latte Art.
When I started doing Latte Art, I didn’t mention it to anyone. Not because I was not proud of what I created, but I was really ashamed of the ridiculous amount of milk I wasted for my practice.
Everything changed, when Barista Carl’s Blend was invented. BCB allows you to train latte art without milk. Instead you use cold water and add 0.25ml of Barista Carl’s Blend. Finally I was able to follow my passion without any guilt of wasting tons of milk for my passion.
Since 2020 I made BCB available in Europe. I offer fellow latte artists and coffee schools a solution to reduce their waste and cost for practice.
But I didn’t stop there!
I was never really happy with the milkpitcher available on the market so I used to bend and adjust them to my liking.
I knew I could design something better, with my experience,
So I came up with the dario pieber milkpitcher.
With full focus on functionality, the design has been kept very simple.
The v-shaped spout provides better flow control and greater stability when pouring.
Together with the unique handle for an even more comfortable grip, this milk pitcher is the perfect tool to improve anyone's latte art.
Not even the best milkpitcher or BCB make you pour great latte art when you don’t know the basics.
Therefore I created a latte art class for beginners on Skillshare, where I’ll guide you step by step. We’ll cover milk frothing and a couple different patterns. All in short an easy to follow lectures.
I hope I can change this world to a better place with better latte art and less milk wasted :)
